Working with a variety of colours in the underpainting produced some beautiful marks in the snow. A flash of vivid blue to represent the cold and frost adds another dimension to the painting. I so enjoyed painting this one which was inspired by a winter walk through the Braes of Gight Woods, Aberdeenshire
