This one is all about the summer days in Scotland. It’s inspired by a day at Banff Beach . Picnic was out and the skies were blue but you could see the weather front coming in. It was how long have we got to get the picnic packed before the weather broke - typical summer day in Scotland, wouldn’t change it for the world. We still had magical day and I soaked up the colours on the beach as well as a little Vitamin D.

Swathes of Colour, Rhum

Looking at colour and feeling the wind. This painting is all about the colours in the sky, the sea and the land. The land and sea was continually changing with the movement of the clouds . the changing colours of the sky. Rich greens, mustards and underlying turquoises were all present. It was a challenge to capture them all.
